What to Expect

What to Expect

Many people are a little apprehensive about visiting a new church. We hope a few words of introduction about this warm, friendly, diverse, growing congregation will set your mind at ease about visiting with us.

Dealing with COVID

Not surprisingly, the majority of questions we receive revolve around this topic. Our eldership is committed to respecting the safety and well-being of our congregation and visitors. As such, we currently offer limited in-person worship services supplement with various recorded services. Every public worship service is also available via live-streaming.

Which services are offered in-person?

Sunday morning, Sunday evening and Wednesday evening services are publicly available with some conditions. Due to limited space and in an effort to maintain proper distancing, members will receive an email every Monday with a link to sign up for each of these services. If you are a visitor and would like to join us in person, please call the office to let us know that you are coming. Please be advised that we are not offering separate children’s services at this time.

What are the protocols for public service?

Great question. We are adhering to our current municipal crowd size and spacing restrictions as well as mandating masks to be worn at all times. It begins with a temperature check at the front door. If you do not have a mask or have forgotten yours, a mask will be provided to you.

Spacing is maintained by family groups. We have redesigned our auditorium in such a way to provide families to be seated near each other but an adequate distance away from others. Exits are also marked by color zone to allow for leaving the auditorium without clustering at a single doorway.

Communion packets are provided to those who will participate in the Lord’s Supper. The packet containers can be discarded at available bins near each of the exits.

What about children and/or youth ministry?

We haven’t yet expanded to offer these bible classes and devotionals in person but there are options! Every Sunday morning, we publish a pre-recorded Family Study geared toward young children where we sing a couple songs and follow our established children’s curriculum.

The youth group offers a Wednesday evening Zoom session at 7 pm and joins the adult service on Sunday morning. Our youth also uses Zoom for scheduled Friday game nights.
