The Holy Spirit

When we study a subject that touches upon or influences our lives as a child of God we always go to the Word of God. There is no better place to go. As children of God there is no other place to go!

“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.” (II Peter 1:2-3)

In addition to being the Word of God, the Bible has been brought to us through the direct working of the Holy Spirit.

“But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.” (II Peter 1:20-21)

This year, the Lord willing, as we study about the Holy Spirit, we can be assured that what we learn will be the will of God.

“All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” (II Timothy 3:16-17)

Plan to be here every Sunday this year. We will be learning together about the Holy Spirit of God! He is real! He is part of the Father and the Son. Without Him in us we do not belong to God!
