The Value of Each Plant

Every individual is important to the Lord! That means that YOU are important to God!

When Jesus was teaching the parable of the “Wheat and Weeds,” the landowner’s servants asked if they should pull up the weeds. The owner told them, “No, because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them.” God values each plant! He does not want anything to disturb the growth of wheat!

God does not miss or overlook anything:

“…your Father knows what you need before you ask Him” (Matt. 6:8).

God takes care of the birds. You are much more valuable than the birds. God will also take care of you (Matt. 6:26-27).

God knows the exact number of stars and has even given each one a name (Psalm 147: 4).

God knows the number of hairs that are on the head of each person (Matt. 10:30).

God will remember every cup of water you give in Jesus’ name (Mark:9:41).

We’ve said all of this to say that God knows who you are, where you are, what you are doing, and what is happening in your life. God knows and He cares. If every individual is valuable to God, then that means you are valuable to God!

Listen to what the Lord says:

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you” (I Peter 5:7).

“…Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world” (I John 2:1-2).

Jesus cares for YOU! He wants to carry your burdens, to carry YOU! Jesus died for YOU! Jesus paid the penalty for your sins! Every promise the Lord makes to His children He also makes to YOU! No one is more important than YOU! No one is less important than YOU! God values each of His children!

We can read in the Bible about Manasseh, the most wicked king who ever lived. He was king for 55 years and led the people of God into worse sins than they had ever committed. He even offered his own son in the fires of idol worship! The Lord brought him down! He led him away as a captive with a hook through his nose and bound with shackles (II Chronicles 33:11). BUT, listen to this. When Manasseh cried out to the Lord, God heard him, forgave him, and restored him to his throne! Amazing! That’s what God does!

We call it AMAZING GRACE!

If Manasseh, as wicked as he was, meant that much to God, can’t you see how much YOU must mean to the Lord? You have never even come close to being Manasseh!

YOU ARE VALUABLE TO THE LORD!
