Peter concludes his letter with a strong word. God cares for you and he will lift you up in due time.

What do you write to an elder who must lead a church through a fiery trial? Peter gives us the answer that Jesus gave to him: be a shepherd.

This week, we visit ancient Pergamum, a secular city with a church that was one of the first to hear Peter’s letter read. What did these first Christians hear? (1 Peter 4:1-19)
